If you are "upgrading", it sounds like you have a 3-blade on there now. If so, you want to reduce the pitch by (1) to add a fourth blade.

I have a Yamaha 15hp 4 stroke outboard that I use as a kicker on my 25' rib. I want to upgrade to a 4 blade prop for more thrust. Should I get 8, 9 or 10" pitch
