Ideally yes, keeping the two faces parallel is the most efficient. I realize you weren't on the hard, but sometimes heat is your best friend...
Is there a technique for using these prop pullers? I have one and struggled to remove our prop. It’s a 4 blade on 1 Olympic Inboard Propeller Puller
Do you keep the the two opposing pieces parallel as you are tightening? As in tighten one loosen the other? I was wrenching as hard as I possibly could underwater and it just took me a lot of time and effort
